Trauma-informed Counselling in Murrumbeena, Melbourne
A space to heal, at your pace.
People come to counselling for many reasons. You may be trying to make sense of a difficult relationship, struggling with patterns that keep repeating or finding that experiences from the past continue to affect how you feel, relate to others or respond in the present.
You don't need to have a clear explanation for what is happening before you begin therapy. Part of the work can be understanding what has happened, how it has affected you, and what might help things begin to change.
I work with adults experiencing the effects of difficult relationships, emotional abuse and complex trauma, online across Australia and in person in Melbourne. My approach is trauma-informed and relational, and I also offer EMDR therapy for distressing experiences and trauma responses that continue to have an impact in the present.
Areas I commonly work with include:
recovering from emotionally abusive or controlling relationships
patterns of self-doubt, hypervigilance or emotional exhaustion
childhood trauma or emotional neglect
distressing memories or reactions that still feel difficult to shift
difficulty trusting yourself or others after harm
anxiety, grief or a sense of being stuck
I also offer counselling in Polish for clients who feel more comfortable in their first language.
